Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave is a high intensity soundwave used to treat persistent heel pain that has not responded to basic treatment such as custom orthotics (arch supports), injections, anti-inflammatory medications, stretching exercises, and casting.

Shockwave therapy is a 10-20 minute procedure performed in an office setting or an outpatient hospital/surgical center setting.  This treatment has an 80% or better success rate in relieving heel pain that has not responded to other treatments. There is little to no down time following this procedure, and is well suited to people who don't have the time to recover from a surgical procedure.

If you have tried other treatments and still suffer from heel pain, you may be a candidate for shockwave therapy.  Call Dr. Dalvin's office to find out more.
